How is hair transplantation done for women?

The hair transplantation (transplantation and recovery of hair) both for men and women is done through redistribution of hair follicles. During the procedure, we extract the follicles which are not affected by the balding process, then we transplant them to the balding area.

The goal of the procedure is to both aesthetically and technically properly transplant the hair in order to achieve the best result possible. This means a high survival rate, a high outgrowth rate as well as a naturalness of the hair.

The number of hair follicles to be relocated may vary individually, but with limited reserves at each person. It is important to use the patient’s donor area wisely, and to remove only the necessary amount of hair follicles in order to leave enough reserve for a possible hair transplantation in the future, in case the thinning of the original, non-transplanted area progresses. One of the advantages of women’s hair transplant is the use of the recently developed Long Hair FUE technique, so our female patients do not need to cut their hair short, as well as the results can be seen almost immediately.

What kind of technique is used for women’s hair transplantation?

We use the hair extraction method, patented by Dr. Roberto Trivellini, to minimise the trauma caused to the donor area and to achieve the most accurate results possible. The toolset at our disposal is the only multiphase system currently accepted by professionals, and its tool, the Long Hair Trivellini Mamba which we mentioned earlier, includes a long hair removal function also. For this device, the operator can choose special options from the settings, which allow the hair follicle units to be extracted in the form of long hair and also without any damage. After the extraction, the hairs are then transplanted, just as during a usual FUE procedure, but in this case, the specialist works with a different special needle. The main difference is, that the hairs at the end of hair follicles are staying long.

By using the latest medical technology, we transplant active hair follicles from the nape of the neck to the less dense areas that are insensitive to hormonal changes, therefore they will not die over time.
