Safe System FUE Hair Transplant
SafeSystem is a procedure patented somewhat earlier than the Trivellini FUE Mamba, designed to perfect the FUE hair transplant method. Our clinic’s doctors are currently among the few surgeons in the world who offer this technology, among others, to their patients.
Why does it work?
This technical breakthrough makes it possible to extract follicles precisely, without unnecessary follicular damage and without the damage that was unavoidable in the traditional FUE procedure. The method significantly increases the number of transplantable grafts: compared with the earlier 300–400 grafts per day, extracting up to 2,000 grafts a day is now achievable.
Condition of the donor area after a hair transplant
For patients who do not have enough hair at the back of the head, SafeSystem makes it possible to harvest or extract hairs from other areas of the body as well, such as the chest, the back or even the abdominal region. Since the quality of the hairs in these areas is lower than on the scalp, this method can be used only as a last resort.

What exactly is SafeSystem?
The name refers to a patented technique of Follicular Unit Extraction called SafeSystem (Surgically Advanced Follicular Extraction). This revolutionary breakthrough is the second most effective hair transplant procedure currently available in plastic surgery, right after the latest Trivellini FUE Mamba.
Harris SafeSystem is not only more comfortable for patients but also causes less trauma to the grafts to be transplanted, and the pinpoint scarring has become practically invisible to the eye compared with traditional techniques.
The number of grafts extracted intact greatly increases the positive efficiency of the process. SafeSystem uses the SAFE Scribe instrument. This procedure creates the possibility of hair transplantation even for those on whom the standard FUE procedure could not help, for example patients with curly or wavy hair, Afro-American and greying patients, and, in the case of very strongly reduced, more fragile “hairs” (light brown, blond-haired patients), where there is a higher chance of graft damage.
The root of curly or even slightly wavy hair often retains its wavy, so-called “meandering” character inside the scalp too, which means that the roots of the hair follicles often do not run straight but bend away. So, unlike with the traditional FUE procedure, where tiny (0.5–1.0 mm) razor-sharp circular punches with titanium tips or other constructions of various diameters are used, SafeSystem uses a much blunter-tipped instrument (see 3-step FUE, the predecessor of SafeSystem) that “moves around” the hair follicle in a rotating motion. This way we do not penetrate the skin with a razor-sharp tool but with a blunt tip, and we do not cut off any protruding tissue or bending hair roots. This makes it possible to extract intact follicles containing even 4–5 hairs, which seemed impossible with the old (FUE) procedure.
