HOW MUCH DOES HAIR TRANSPLANTATION COST?
Because we are not selling template solutions but looking for the most appropriate therapy for the patient, we cannot define an exact price without prior examination and consultation. Our hair Transplantation prices are calculated based on the number of hairs to be transplanted, the actual prices of which can be found here: > Hair Transplantation prices
For your information, we can say as much in advance that a surgery of this level costs around 2,000-10,000 Euros in Western Europe. However, it is significantly cheaper in Hungary, and the FUE2 Transplantation procedure we use is more advanced than in other countries.
HOW EFFECTIVE ARE ANTI HAIR LOSS PRODUCTS?
There are two main categories of known alternatives: oral or external products. Tablets – incorrectly labeled as “hormonal” drugs prevent the negative effects of the androgen hormone that causes hair loss, dihydrotestosterone – DHT. However, these do not guarantee the final termination of baldness, given that several factors are responsible for baldness, not just hormonal effects. So, they can only slow down the process, but cannot stop it.
Externally used drugs slow down the process of baldness with other effects that are not yet been fully understood. These drugs contain, for the most part, an alcoholic solution of a previously used antihypertensive drug, minoxidil, or an alternative of it. Newer drugs (such as FolliOne with a medical background) are not alcoholic and other natural materials facilitate the absorption of the external drug, helping it get deep into the skin and increasing its strength. However, for these drugs, you need to know that they will take a few months to develop their effects – usually three months until the result is visible. In order to achieve the full effect and maintain the hair, permanent use of the external product is necessary, as hair loss can continue after the products have been removed. The only permanent and stable solution is hair transplantation.
WHAT SOLUTIONS ARE THERE TO TREAT MY HAIR LOSS AND BALDING?
The causes of certain types of hair loss, including the most common hormonal baldness, are already partly known. For this reason, there are formulations with proven clinical trials that address the actual causes of hair loss, but none of them provide a complete solution, or their effects may vary from person to person. In general, external and internal drugs, as well as our regenerative therapies and our prp therapy, mainly slow down or stop hair loss, but are not suitable for full hair restoration. For the time being, only properly performed hair Transplantation provides a real, natural result.
HOW CAN I DECIDE IF MY HAIR LOSS IS NATURAL OR IF BALDENING HAS ALREADY BEGUN?
Hair loss is normally around 30-150 hairs per day but may vary depending on metabolism and tissue condition. Looking in the mirror and at an older photo, you can decide whether your hairline has changed. The front baldness usually starts on the forehead or on both sides. The loss also depends on the hair color of the individual: If you are lighter-haired, up to 100-120 hairs a day is normal, while in darker hair, this number may indicate a balding process, they average is around 60-70 hairs lost per day. Hair loss also has general characteristics that develop in men by the Norwood-scale, and in women according to the Ludwig-scale.
WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE FUE2 HAIR TRANSPLANTATION, HOW IS IT BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL?
The FUE2 method, which is an improved version of the single hair removal technique is not a traditional surgical intervention. The method, often referred to as FUE2, is a cut-, stitch-, and scar-free surgery, much more like a skin tattoo than an average surgery, providing an aesthetic, unobtrusive and final solution. The hair Transplantation method is free of wounds and surgical risks. Possible complications are so mild that many countries do not consider it a surgical procedure, but a dermatological procedure.
IF NOTICEABLY MORE HAIRS FALL OUT CONTINUOUSLY, IS THIS A CLEAR INDICATION OF THE BEGINNING OF THE BALDING PROCESS?
No. Many factors can cause hair loss. Not only can it have hereditary and hormonal causes, and they may not only depend on aging processes as the three most common causes of baldness.
Hair loss can even begin from a tiny change, such as poor nutrition, vitamin deficiency, poor blood, and oxygen supply due to smoking, and surface skin problems; common cold of the scalp, irritating shampoo and inadequate hair. Hair loss can be caused by scalp injury, persistent inflammation in the body or skin fungus. Of course, there may be more serious changes in the background, such as cancerous or other diseases affecting the hormone economy, or other natural processes such as pregnancy or menopause.
IF THERE ARE BALD PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY, IS IT GUARANTEED THAT THIS PROCESS BEGINS IN MY CASE AS WELL?
Although baldness is largely an inherited process, you don’t necessarily have to expect it, but if you have people with similar problems in the family, baldness is much more likely. Partially, it is inherited from the X – in men, this is the part inherited from the mother – but in part, it can be determined by so-called bodily chromosomes, but genes inherited from the father are important, too.
ON AVERAGE, AROUND WHAT YEAR DOES HAIR LOSS AND BALDING BEGIN?
Baldness in men can begin in adolescence, but most often only in their thirties. Normally, it is genetic, but often environmental factors such as stress, inadequate nutrition, illness, and inflammation can affect the time of appearance and the rate of runoff. The process will start in more than a third of those over the age of 35. Women can also start balding in their twenties, but it is more common for them to start in the mid to late thirties.
WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS?
The growth of transplanted hair starts after the first three months. The final result, depending on the metabolism, develops around the end of the 10th-12th month. From that point on, of course, it grows throughout your life.
WILL MY TRANSPLANTED HAIR LOOK NATURAL?
Yes. There will be no difference between the old and the new hair we have inserted. The transplanted hair will behave the same way as the hair that was originally there three weeks after the surgery. Thanks to the insertion technique we have developed, it grows in the same direction as you agreed on with the clinic’s specialists.
WHOSE HAIRS ARE BEING TRANSPLANTED? DO I NEED A DONOR?
In the case of hair transplantation, the donor and the recipient are the same, so we transplant your hair – this is autotransplantation. If we are transplanting the hairs of non-identical twins, the person receiving it will not be able to accept it unless you are taking anti-rejection drugs throughout your life.
HOW MANY TIMES ARE NEEDED FOR A PERMANENT RESULT?
This depends on the size of the balding area, the characteristics of the donor area, and your needs. To achieve a particularly high density, it is usually recommended to repeat the first intervention, but if you insist on moving the hair with just one surgery, it is, of course, feasible.
HOW DENSE WILL MY NEW HAIR BE?
It depends on individual conditions, but we usually recommend 80-100 hairs/cm2, so individual hairs will be at maximum 1 millimeter away from each other. A higher density is achievable with just one surgery, but we need to use special tools in that case.
CAN GRAY HAIR, DARKER HAIR OR HAIR WITH MORE COLOR BE PICKED?
Yes, of course, it can be done without any problems due to the sophistication of the method, so we do not transplant gray or weakened hair.
IF MY HAIR IS THINNING, BUT A LOT STILL REMAINS, DO I NEED TO WAIT UNTIL IT ALL FALLS OUT?
You don’t have to wait. It is possible to transplant the existing hair in between the thinning hair without any problems. However, the intervention should be preceded by a skin and hair analytics examination. It is only after all the details of diagnosis have been established that intervention can take place and is usually recommended only over 24 years of age.
DO I NEED TO GO ON PAID LEAVE AFTER THE SURGERY?
It is not required, but it is worth spending 3-4 days after hair transplantation without any physical and emotional strain.
WHO CAN I TURN TO WITH MY REMARKS AFTER THE SURGERY?
Our clinic constantly keeps track of your hair growth. It is advisable to go to the controls recommended by our doctors because they can see your hair gaining thickness and you can gain new knowledge from all areas of hair care.
DOES THE FUE METHOD HAVE SIDE EFFECTS?
During the first three weeks after the surgery, a slight itching may occur on the regenerating skin. At the site of insertion and withdrawal, the skin may be sensitive for a few days, but our patients do not feel any difference between the site of the intervention and intact skin after 2-3 days. The patient may leave the clinic on the day of the intervention, no further treatment is needed and no pain relief is required.
DO I NEED TO CUT MY HAIR FOR THE SURGERY?
It is not required. The procedure can be carried out with any hair length, although it is better for the hair in the donor area be shorter. For long-haired patients, a special withdrawal method may also be used, so it is not necessary to go to the hairdresser before the surgery.
WON’T MY HAIR BE MISSING FROM WHERE YOU TRANSPLANTED IT FROM?
No. On the sides and back, in the horseshoe-shaped section, from which we extract the amount needed for the transplantation, there are, on average, between 60-80,000 hairs. If 10,000 of these hairs are transplanted, it will not be visible due to the customized surgical plan. However, 5-6 thousand hairs are usually enough.
WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE THAT THE TRANSPLANTED HAIR WILL REMAIN?
We plant the hair itself – as opposed to the overdone method used elsewhere, where the pieces cut out of the scalp are transferred. The transplanted hair retains its old qualities, just like people do not change fundamentally when moving to a new house. Of course, our clinic will give you a guarantee for the surgeries, the conditions of which you can get to know during our free consultation.
